Question 1

Why an alcohol-free venue?

Accepted Answer

Because the celebrations we love most are the ones every guest can fully enjoy. An alcohol-free reception is easy on families with children, comfortable for elders and guests in recovery, and calm for everyone driving home. It also removes bar service, bartender staffing and liquor liability costs from your budget. Sparkling ciders, mocktail bars, and coffee-and-dessert stations keep the evening festive, and the dancing still happens.

Question 2

Can we book a Saturday?

Accepted Answer

Norwalk Events is located on the active campus of Norwalk Seventh-day Adventist Church. Sabbath worship and ministry commitments from Friday evening through Saturday receive priority. Dates that overlap with Sabbath hours or church programming require individual review and are not confirmed until approved in writing.

Question 3

Can we bring our own caterer and vendors?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Outside caterers, florists, photographers, DJs and coordinators are welcomed with advance approval. All vendors follow our facility policies, including the alcohol-free rule.

Question 4

Is kitchen access available?

Accepted Answer

Kitchen access is available by arrangement and is confirmed for your event in your written quote and facility-use agreement.

Question 5

Can we have music and dancing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Music and program content should be appropriate for a house of worship, and volume levels respect our neighbors and local ordinances. Dancing is welcome in the fellowship hall.

Question 6

Can we tour the facility first?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely — we recommend it. Check the tour box on the inquiry form and we'll arrange a walkthrough of the sanctuary, fellowship hall, entrances and parking.

Question 7

Does the sanctuary have sound, video and livestreaming?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The sanctuary is fully equipped with audio-visual sound and video technology and is configured for livestreaming events when needed. Use of the equipment requires a paid technician at an additional $50 per hour.

Question 8

Can we use the lobby or extra rooms?

Accepted Answer

Extra rooms are not rented on their own — The lobby is included with your primary rental. Multipurpose/breakout rooms are available as add-ons to sanctuary rentals only, at $100 per room.

Question 9

Is there parking?

Accepted Answer

Yes — 96 on-site spaces across three lots: the main church lot (56), the secondary inner lot (22) and the Norwalk Events Center Fellowship Hall lot (18). That is one reason guests find us easy to reach from across Southeast Los Angeles County and North Orange County.

Question 10

Is the facility accessible?

Accepted Answer

Please tell us about accessibility needs — seating, entrances, restrooms or parking — in your inquiry, and we will review them with you in person during your tour so nothing is left to chance on the day.

Question 11

When can we decorate?

Accepted Answer

Setup, decorating and teardown must be included within your reserved rental block. Early access for decorating can be requested and, when available, is added to your quote.

Question 12

Is a security deposit required?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A refundable security deposit is required, with a current planning range of $500–$1,000. It is returned after your event subject to the condition of the space and the terms of your agreement.

Question 13

Do we need event insurance?

Accepted Answer

Event liability insurance may be required depending on your event type, size and activities. We'll tell you what applies during the quote process. We don't provide legal, tax or insurance advice — please consult your own insurer or advisor.

Question 14

What are the cancellation and rescheduling terms?

Accepted Answer

Cancellation and rescheduling terms are stated in your written quote and facility-use agreement, so you have them in writing before you commit.

Question 15

Can we take photos and video at our event?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Photography and filming of your own event are welcome. Equipment must keep exits and walkways clear, and anything attached to the building or fixtures requires advance approval.

Question 16

Who supervises children during an event?

Accepted Answer

The renter is responsible for supervising minors at all times and for keeping guests within the reserved areas of the campus.

Question 17

Do we have to be members of the church?

Accepted Answer

No. We welcome the whole community — families, nonprofits, businesses and ministries. Every event follows the same facility-use policies.

Question 18

How do we reserve our date?

Accepted Answer

Submit an inquiry with your preferred and alternate dates. If the date is available, we'll send a planning range and next steps. A confirmed booking requires approval from Norwalk Seventh-day Adventist Church, a signed facility-use agreement, a refundable security deposit, and insurance if required.
